Qatar Airways is set to become the largest airline to collaborate with Starlink and offer complimentary high-speed, low-latency internet connectivity on specific aircraft and routes. This will enhance Qatar Airways’ 5-star onboard experience. Passengers will enjoy ultra-fast Wi-Fi speeds of up to 350 Megabits per second, enabling various internet-based services, including video streaming, gaming, web browsing, and more.
The service is powered by Starlink, which operates the world’s largest satellite internet constellation, developed by SpaceX. Qatar Airways and Starlink are in the pre-launch phase of the rollout strategy.
Qatar Airways’ collaboration with Starlink reflects its commitment to providing a top-notch passenger experience. Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency internet service will support Qatar Airways’ entire fleet, offering passengers a seamless and reliable internet connection from gate to gate.
The partnership with Starlink positions Qatar Airways alongside other airlines like JSX, Hawaiian Airlines, airBaltic, and ZIPAIR that have chosen to implement the high-speed Starlink internet service.
