Once biometrics capture and submission at the VFS/embassy/Consulate are completed, the average processing time is about 15 working days. You can depend on us to keep you informed about your application’s status at every stage of the process.

What is the United Kingdom Visitor Visa?

Who needs to apply for the UK Visitor Visa to visit?

Nigerians need a visa to visit the United Kingdom.

UK citizens and citizens of over 60 other countries can enter the United Kingdom without a visa for up to six months. However, you need a visa if you want to stay in the United Kingdom for more than 90 days.

Some of the 60 countries that can enjoy visa-free entry are Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States.

What can I do with the United Kingdom Visa?

  • Make stopovers at the airport
  • Sign contracts, attend fairs, business meetings, and other business activities
  • Volunteer for up to 30 days for a registered charity
  • Join a school exchange program

  • Participate in congresses as a listener or speaker (without charging fees)
  • Receive medical treatments and attend consultations with a British doctor

What can I not do with a United Kingdom Visa?

  • Cannot work
  • Cannot take long courses or study for extended periods
  • Cannot reside permanently in the country
  • Cannot live in the UK through frequent or successive visits
  • Cannot claim public funds
  • Cannot marry or register a civil partnership
  • Cannot obtain a driver’s license

Note:

  1. Visa Fees are excluded from our pricing. That will be paid on the date of your biometrics capture at VFS/embassy/consulate
  2. Travellers who have been in China and Macao in the last 10 days must present a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours before arrival. Children under 12 years old are exempt from testing requirements.

Submission Type To complete the visa application process, you will need to physically submit the required documents at VFS Lagos or UK embassy in Abuja for biometrics capture. For further details, refer to the VFS Global website. Kindly note that a submission appointment is required, and the package cost excludes VFS fees.
Biometrics Capture Fingerprint capture is required (only if you are older than 12): You will be required to provide fingerprints during your visa appointment.

  1. Submission in VI Centre- N50,000 (Submission can be made in the Ikeja Centre at no extra charge)
  2. Walk-in N42,000 (Paid in person upon submission)
  3. Priority Application – Application takes about 5 working days after submission- N190,000
  4. Super Priority Application- Application takes 24 hours after submission – N500,000
  5. Premium Lounge- N42,000
