Explore Jordan during the Jerash Festival season! Jordan didn’t earn the title of an ‘’open-air museum’’ for nothing, it is a title well earned. Its position means countless countries and empires have crossed this land and left their mark, from the Romans, Persians, Crusaders, Ottomans and in more modern times, the Israelis. In a short drive from Amman, you can find Crusader fortresses, Roman temples and Ottoman palaces.

Day 1 (18 Jul)

DEPARTURE
Depart from Lagos International Airport.

Day 2 ​(19 Jul)

ARRIVAL /AMMAN
Meet & assist transfer to Amman hotel for dinner & overnight.

Day 3 (20 Jul)

JERASH / AJLOUN (TELL MAR ELIAS & ANJARA) /AMMAN

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Jerash, A close second to Petra on the list of favorite destinations in Jordan is the ancient city of Jerash, which boasts an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years. a tour through the collonaded street, amphitheatre, Churches, temples and the vast Roman Forum. to the best-preserved Roman City Gerasa, which is called Jerash today, and known also as the city of 1,000 pillars. Then proceed to Ajloun through pine forests and olive groves to visit Anjara, the town mentioned in the bible as a place where Jesus, his mother Mary and his disciples passed through and rested in the nearby cave. This cave has long been a holy place for pilgrims has now been commemorated with a modern shrine – Church of our lady of the mountain. Then continue to visit Tell Mar Elias (which is associated with prophet Elijah), it is a religious place combined two churches that were built on the hilltop during the byzantine period. Back to the hotel for dinner & overnight.

Day 4 ​(21 Jul)

AMMAN CITADEL / BAPTISM SITE / DEAD SEA /AMMAN

We start the morning with a visit to the Citadel in Amman with remains from the Roman to the Islamic period as well as the Archaeological Museum. Then visit the site of Bethany Beyond the Jordan, associated with the baptism of Jesus. Then drive to spend the day floating and relaxing at the Dead Sea at one of the resort hotels. Enjoy the sunshine at the lowest point on earth, whilst trying out the invigorating mud bath to cleanse the skin. Watch the sunset over the hills of the West Bank with Jerusalem in the distance.

Return to Amman for dinner & overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5 ​(22 Jul)

MADABA CITY/MOUNT NEBO & UM AL RASSAS/MEMORIES AICHA CAMP /AMMAN
After breakfast, a road trip tour visit to Madaba City, Mount Nebo & Um Al Rassas or Makawer.

Then a drive to Wadi Village where a transfer takes us to  Memories Aicha for a full Wadi Rum Experience.

DAY 6 (23 Jul)

AMMAN/PETRA​
After breakfast, drive southern Jordan via desert highway to Petra.

Today you will visit Petra. This fascinating ancient Nabatean capital which dominated for a long time the Arabian trade routes, and is a must-see in the Middle East. Meet your guide at the Visitor’s Centre and start to explore the mystic site on a 2.5hr guided tour. You pass the Siq, a narrow gorge where you get the first close views of the colourful sandstone, ending at the beautiful Treasury. Walk along the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs, the Theatre and Qasr Al Bint. Free time on your own, then walk the same way back to the entrance gate. Meet our driver and you will be transferred to Wadi Rum, one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. Marvel at the sunset and gaze at the stars in the night sky whilst enjoying the legendary hospitality of the Bedouin, before sleeping at the foot of the awesome mountains exploding out from the desert landscape. DAY 7 (24 Jul)

PETRA / AMMAN AIRPORT
Transfer to Amman Airport for departure as per flight details

The transfer duration from Petra to the Airport is around 3:30 hours & clients should be present at the airport 2-3 hours before taking the flight.

Jordan is very safe and peaceful with friendly locals, foreigners and tourist; however, tourists should exercise the same caution as they would in any major big city.

COVID-19 test should be done not later than 72-hours before travel, note that quarantine is not mandatory if you present a valid negative COVID-19 result on arrival. A pre-departure test from Jordan is required for boarding the return ticket to Nigeria.
