All USA Visa Applicants Required to Re-Register on New Platform
The United States Embassy in Nigeria has announced a significant update for all visa applicants. Effective immediately, all USA 🇺🇸 visa applicants must re-register on a new platform powered by AVITS, which is now responsible for managing appointments and visa services.
Registration Requirements:
To register on the new AVITS platform, applicants must provide the following details:
- Full Name (Surname first): Ensure that your name is entered exactly as it appears on your passport.
- Email: A valid email address is required for correspondence and verification purposes.
- Phone Number: A functional phone number for contact and notifications.
- National Identification Number (NIN): Your NIN will be used to verify your identity.
Please Note: Email verification is mandatory. Applicants will receive a verification link via email, which must be confirmed before proceeding with the registration process.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Dropbox Submission for Interview Waiver Program Visa
In line with a previously announced change in the visa processing partner, there have been updates to the submission process for those applying under the Interview Waiver Program Visa, commonly known as the Dropbox Submission.
New Submission Protocol:
On the day of your scheduled appointment, you are required to appear at the designated submission location TWO (2) HOURS AFTER your initially scheduled time. For example, if your appointment is set for 9:00 AM, you should arrive at 11:00 AM on the same day.
Designated Submission Locations:
- Abuja: OIS Services, No 28 Pope John Paul Street, off Gana Street, Maitama.
- Lagos: OIS Services, No 14 Idowu Taylor, Victoria Island.
Submission Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Applicants are advised to adhere strictly to these new guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Failure to comply with the new schedule may result in delays or the need to reschedule your appointment.
